Midget Program
The St. Louis Rockets, the premier destination for midget aged players. The Rockets play in the Midget AA and Midget A1 Missouri Hockey League.
2024-2025 Teams
- 18U AA - Jim Goodman and Julie Iler
- 16U AA - TBA
- 16U A1 - TBA
- 16U A1 - TBA
16U AA and A1 Contracts
- 6 forwards prior to tryouts
- 3 defenseman prior to tryouts
- 1 goalie prior to tryouts
- Players will have 24 hours to accept the contract
- Mike Richards will be notified if a contract is offered
- ALL contracts will be turned into Mike Richards prior to tryouts
- The rest of the contracts can be offered after the first tryout
16U AA/A1 Tryouts
- 7/19, 7/20, 7/26, 7/27. Times and Team Assignments TBA
- 16U AA/A1 players will be divided into 4 teams like USA Hockey Central District Tryouts (**depending on numbers**)
- Players will be assigned a jersey and number that they will turn back in after EVERY skate
- Teams will play each other once.
- There will be an All Star Game followed by a skills session (**depending on numbers**)
- Overseen by Mike Richards
Practices
- Once a week prior to the start of high school.
- Practices will mainly be on weekends
- If there is 2, A1 teams, they will share the ice once high school season starts
- Practice start time during the week, may be after 9pm
Teams - Regular Season
- Jerseys and socks will be the responsibility of each individual team
- Jersey and sock design must be approved by the Rockets Staff
- Each team is responsible for non parent coaching expenses when traveling to, during and from, out of town games/tournaments
- Non parent coaches will be paid by the Rockets Organization and will not incur and coaching fee
18U AA
The Rockets will not have a tryout for 18UAA. The Rockets will only field 1 - 18U AA team. This team will be run by Jim Goodman and Julie Iler. If you are interested in playing, please contact Jim and/or and Julie
